BackShadowman's Custom D/A Chevy Truck: Phase Three

Phase Three

Now that we have mechanically integrated the new custom independent quick change rear suspension we are now tending to the detail items as associated with this project as we get her closer to being exercised again.

Here we have removed the custom radius bar bracket after dry fitting it in position so we could complete the structural welding of it as required.

Here we are dry fitting the custom e-brake cable as create by Control Cables. Now that we have verified that the measurements and that the design is as desired Control Cables are creating the final e-brake cables for this gal; ultimately there will be two like cables as she has dual e-brake calipers.

Here we are modifying the rear cross member as we decided to fabricate a center exiting exhaust system for this gal. Master machinist and fabricator Greg sheared and then and rolled the piece of 3/16" steel that was used both as the precision cutout pattern as well as the material to box the frame rail. Greg carefully cut the opening and then with the perfect shape created he carefully Mig welded the preformed piece into position.

The center exhaust as designed presents another unique feature at this gal's arse further complimenting the already unique look as created as the result of the custom independent quick change rear suspension.
