Phase Nine

We are on the proverbial "home stretch" with the day that this gal is able to be exercised ever so close.

Here we have fitted her rear clamshell indicating just how close to the end of this project we are.

Here we are completing the custom dual OEM amps and dual OEM subwoofers within the custom subwoofer enclosures. Great care was taken during the layout and dry fitting stages to insure that once fully integrated that the system would perform beyond her owner's expectations while appearing to be an OEM consideration. At the onset we purchased new OEM amp plug connectors and pins so that we could create custom wiring harnesses and not take the path of least resistance as sadly and all too often see which would have been to simply splice into the existing harness. The custom wiring harness that was needed for the second OEM amp was created using OEM style shielded wire to insure a crisp and transient noise free system once completed. The passenger side has the custom upholstered aluminum panel that is insert as if OEM and secured using OEM fastening points so no additional holes were drilled with the pair of OEM amps secured to the custom upholstered panel in advance and then the custom subwoofer enclosure is installed with the final step being the packing of the custom subwoofer enclosure with Poly Fill and then we installed the OEM subwoofer speaker. On the driver side we secure the custom upholstered aluminum panel using OEM securing points and OEM hardware so no additional holes were drilled however we had to install a pair of 8mm Pem studs to secure the custom subwoofer enclosure once it was in position with the final step being the packing of the custom subwoofer enclosure with Poly Fill and then we installed the OEM subwoofer speaker . We also custom tailored the OEM canvass bag and hung it using 4 OEM canvass bag hangers on the driver side so that a modicum of secondary storage remains. At this time we have new OEM appearing Macintosh amp labels being created as one of the two were in less than stellar condition; once these have been installed the custom dual amp and dual subwoofer integration will be complete. Once the system was fully integrated we brought it on line and listened to a CD of her owner's liking; "Super Tramp" and in a word the results of this custom OEM dual amps and OEM dual subwoofers within the custom subwoofer enclosures integration is "phenomenal".

Here we are installing the custom customer furnished thicker shifter shaft sleeve as well as completing the reassembly of her interior. When we initially installed the custom thicker shifter shaft sleeve we notice that very few threads were exposed to secure the shifter ball so we placed it in the lathe and using a parting tool shortened the thicker shifter shaft sleeve thus exposing a greater number of threads for a more secure installation.

Now we will be installing the freshly powder coated rear bumper delete screen as well as her under body panels as we make ready to bring her to life. We will bring her up to operating temperature and then allow a complete cool down after which we will complete a final hardware inspection and final torque on the custom exhaust.
