With the bulk of the project defined we are now able to proceed. It was during the defining stages that it was confirmed that this gal is to receive a huge Whipple supercharger too. The Whipple supercharger was initially polished to get a nice smooth finish and then coated in a high gloss black with the subtle polished accents making this one of the more unique Whipple superchargers on a Ford GT.
Here are many of the pieces to be integrated including the stunning new Whipple supercharger and the thermal coated exhaust. Each piece was carefully inspected to insure that there are no issues encountered as we move forward with the integration processes.
Here the methodical process of removing the OEM exhaust has been completed. We say methodical because throughout the process great care is taken to insure that no secondary cosmetic damage is caused. Protective tape, cloth and blankets, and the proper mindset insures the desired results. Along with the new Ford Racing exhaust we will be using all new hardware and OEM gaskets so as to insure that there are no leaks.
Here the OEM supercharger has been carefully removed and then once off we sealed the intake plenum to insure that no foreign matter can enter it and then we sealed and packed away the OEM supercharger just in case the need for it returns at some later time however we suspect that this is not very likely. When the new Whipple supercharger is set in position we will also be integrating a new AccuFab throttle body and inlet support sleeve as well as all new OEM gaskets and seals so as to insure that there are no leaks; pressure or otherwise.
Here we have removed the OEM valve covers so that we can have them prepared for powder coating as they will soon become red. Once removed we then wrap the exposed vale train so as to insure that no debris can enter this area. Once the powder coating is completed we will use new OEM seals and gaskets as part of the reassembly process.
